17th Women's World Teams
Squash Championships 2010

Palmerston North, New Zealand

28th November - 4 December 2010

Preview Day 3 - Afternoon

Pool A

(1) England vs (16) Austria

After a shaky win over USA, , England hit their straps in the second round against the Netherlands and there’s little doubt the top seeds will complete pool play with a resounding win against the Austrians.

Prediction: England 3-0

 (8) Netherlands vs (9) USA

USA has looked a useful side in the opening two rounds and will fancy their chances against the shell-shocked Dutch team who were soundly thrashed by England on day two.  The question is whether the Netherlands can put that result behind them.

Prediction: USA 2-1

 Pool D

(4) Malaysia vs (5) New Zealand

A huge showdown as the two teams try to avoid a quarterfinal against one of the top three sides.  Malaysia can bank on a victory to the near unbeatable Nicol David, but the tie could already be over by then if Joelle King and Shelley Kitchen can win the opening two matches for the home team.

Prediction: New Zealand 2-1

 (12) Canada vs (13) Hong Kong China

Both teams are looking to win their first game of the championships this afternoon, let alone their first match.  Canada though has shown some promising signs at times and should just have enough to claim the tie.

Prediction: Canada 2-1
